The soccer season for almost every collegiate team ends with a loss. Only a handful of teams finish with a national championship.

Such was the case in 2012 with the Roanoke College Maroons. It was Scott Allison’s 27th and final season as head coach of the Roanoke men.

It ended with a 4-1 loss to Emory University in the first round of the NCAA playoffs.
