Soccer In Arkansas.

The University of Arkansas has finished strong in the 2012 SEC schedule and has qualified for a spot in the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2000. The clincher was a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Mississippi State on a pair of goals from senior Andrea Carlson (Gallatin, TN). Arkansas improved to 9-8-1 overall and 6-5-1 in the SEC. The Razorbacks also bet Auburn and Missouri prior to the MSU victory…..Arkansas Little Rock sophomore Ariel Galletti scored two goals and junior Paige Mason scored one goal and assisted on another, as UALR (2-14-0, 1-7-0 SBC) captured only its second win of the season with a 3-1 victory over visiting Florida Atlantic (5-10-0, 3-5-0 SBC)…..Following a double-overtime victory over Eastern Illinois, two Central Arkansas Men’s Soccer players, Shafial Mason and Cody Gibson, were recognized as the Missouri Valley Conference’s Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
