Head Men’s Coach

Clark University (Worcester, Mass.) is seeking applications for the position of head men’s soccer coach. Clark University is a member of the NCAA Division III, ECAC, and the highly competitive New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference. Primary responsibilities involve the organization and administration of the men’s soccer program including the successful recruitment, coaching and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes. This full-time position would be a 9 or 10-month appointment and include secondary responsibilities based upon experience, qualifications, interests of the candidate, as well as overall University needs.

Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree, (Master’s preferred); previous playing and/or successful coaching experience at the college or club level; demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules as well as the ability to communicate effectively to various campus constituents. Recruiting academically oriented students within the Division III philosophy is also important. Candidates must possess strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. The anticipated start date would be March 1, 2012.
